Our Fun Filled Holiday Start Here...
Yoz, I am back from my chalet again. I really enjoy it very much and it seem we had done a lot of things at the chalet. Though it is short holiday but very relaxing leh. Again it is organised by me. The chalet is book from Taka but not booked by me. It was under Janice's name. I could not apply anymore because I just got it in August. I only able to book again after 2-3 months time. So this time round will be Janice and JX. Janice will book 1st weekend, 2nd week is card holder day so we can't take leave. 3rd week is public holiday, Ping will be away for holiday so Jx will book 4th weekend. If got, jiu take lor, if not too bad le lor. Weekend normally difficult to get it one. So we don't expect much hope in it.
We are expecting if we got it, it will be at 4th week because 1st week seem a bit very soon leh. We just had 1 in August only mah. And who knows we got it and it was on the 1st week. Wow Wow...Weekend leh. 6th Oct 2006 to 8th Oct 2006. We are so lucky man. The usual 5 of us confirm going, 4 of us confirm staying through the 3 days. Too bad Amelia can't join us because she got school. Claire also can't join us because her sup went back to Malaysia so she got to work lor. And in fact, Janice only want to come and check in and night go back one, I keep persuading her to stay for at least 1 night. Jx is staying for 1 night so both of them can go back together on sat lor.
On friday, early in the morning, I wake up at 8am and pack my bag and then waiting for ping to reached my place at 9.30am. Then we went down to market with my mother to buy the potatoes, sweet potatoes, sotong, prawns and stingray etc...We only managed to get 1 packet of baby carrots (that is our favourite, wanted to buy 4 packets one leh) as we were late, all the stores sold out le. Only early bird will get the best of the market. Haha...But we still managed to get the fresh one. Everything is still within our budget. I took a piece of paper and a pen calculating and ticking all the items that we need.
My house downstair is limited leh. We ran here and there just to find all the stuffs leh. Went to NTUC, Shop 'N' Save and gocery shop. Our hands were full of bags and my mother still want us to go back to buy packets drinks and she say help us carry back. No choice, we turn back and get the packets drinks. Ping and I were so tired and my mother carry so many things still can walk so fast ahead of us. Haha...In fact, when we were searching high and low for charcoal, Janice had reached my house doorstep le. And I said after we buy the charcoal and will go back but in the end, she waited 30mins at my doorstep and we were still nowhere in sight. She called us again and we are still buying even more things and I asked her to sit down somewhere near my block. Haha...Finally we found the charcoal at Shop 'N' Save.
We reached home at about 11.45am and saw Janice sitting at one of the benches at my house downstair. Haha....My mother start preparing ingredients to cook Bee Hoon while Ping and I were exhausted liao le. Sat down and eat the fresh bread that we bought just now at the baker shop and watching tv. We were sitting there so comfortable that we don't even want to move. But the 3 of us (ping, janice and me) still have to get up and set off for 2nd round shopping to get all the final stuffs, bottled drinks, marshmallow, chips, chicken wings, frozen foods etc at about 12.30pm...After we got all the stuffs, we reached home about 1.30pm. Haha...Actually it is rather late from our planning. In fact wanted to reach chalet earlier but now late le so never mind le lor. And anyway the rest also will not reach that early. Wow the time is really very fast, just get a few things, and timed up le and $$ cannot see one leh, finished up very fast.
Before leaving for chalet, we settle our lunch on bee hoon that my mother cooked earlier on. Wow hungry leh. We left my house at about 2pm and my mother helped us to carry all the things down. So many bags leh, and somemore some are heavy leh. Almost not enough hands to carry liao le. Haha...Get on a cab and put all our stuffs behind the car boot. Well well, the taxi uncle that drove us hor, wow liao leh, the moment we stepped on his cab hor, he keep talking non stop leh. He asked us which way we want to take, hey you are taxi uncle leh, you ask me which way how I know, I just said any way lor. And he replied, any way drive you to don't know where. Wow kao leh. He keep praising himself that go his way through CTE --> PIE is the correct way because if go TPE or Payer Lebar got a lot of traffic lights and reached there you will cry. I was huh...He keep asking us a lot of stupid questions leh. What ERP stands for and who come up with ERP and those who come up with ERP is PHD and what PHD stands for Permanent Head Damage, keep scolding 'bad and rough' words. Then what is BADA? And tell us how he scold a passenger when that passenger requested to turn the air con colder. What the hell, ask so many bo liao questions ma jiam what ah. He even told us to wave at the small boy at the bus-stop when he horned while he was driving along. Siao leh. Keep horning people and then scolding what bloody hell, some Japanese foul language etc...
Heng I am not sitting in front. And he keep talking to ping and I was so afraid ping will argue back leh. Because I see her face from the side mirror very sian liao le. That uncle don't seem to be shan nan xi nuu one, so better don't bother him. He look like someone we know leh. Guess who??? Our Poly care person, Ng Wee Boon leh. And his sarcastic way also look like him leh. Haha...Well, wonder if he got a brother teaching in school? At least Ng Wee Boon not like him so violent and bad tempered. Wow liao leh, cannot tahan him leh.
We arrived at the chalet at about 2.30pm. And jx reached liao le, and we asked him to wait at the guard house to help us to carry the things in because we thought taxi cannot go in. We thought we earliest leh but who know jx reach first leh. We were stopped at the guard house because there is a big lorry in front of us and we saw him unloading the stuffs they bought. Wow liao leh, took very long time and we saw them bringing broom and mop leh and bicycle. Ma jiam staying there for long sia. And as usual that uncle commented. Whatever he saw, he just want to comment. Haiz...He really is a siao uncle leh. Haha...Then jx keep fooled by him. That uncle insisted jx to pay for the ride etc...That is really a big and long lorry lor, u-turn to move out also need a long time. Haiz...I really can't wait to get off that siao cab lor.
The uncle drove us in and then Janice went to check in and we unloaded our bags from car boot and we waited at our doorstep and keep recalling that stupid uncle that make our trip so terrible and unhappy. Hehe...And I slammed his car doors just now. He did help us to unload some bags after I slammed his doors. And he praise himself of his helpfulness etc...And last words, enjoy our holiday. That is the most correct words that we heard throughout the journey. Actually I was not on purposely lah, but maybe already pek chek with him le, so not happy and close his doors a bit harder. Haha....Jx was still inside the car paying the taxi fare and when I suddenly close the doors so hard, they were shocked. And jx told me, that uncle commented again what me not happy ah, slammed his door ah. Ai yo...cannot tahan ah. I agreed with ping that we have met quite a few weird people along the way and throughout the chalet days.
When we get into the house, we unpacked all our stuffs. And went upstair to snatch our room and change into shorts. We have been repeating the journey to everyone that we saw about our weird experience to get through here. Haha...Last time when we came in, there is a lot of leftover stuffs for us to use if want such as detergent, paper plates all these but this time nothing is left, very clean. Haha...And we thought they have left detergent so we did not bring any. And we quickly called ting to bring some. Heng she is still at home if not difficult to clean things leh. Not long later, ting and quan arrived. And everyone had reached liao le. Hehe...A small group of 6 person's chalet started.
We sat down in living room and then play JJ Karaoke 2005 DVD that jx had brought along to test the system. We could not play the system last time when we were there. So this time first thing is to test it. Hehe...And then we started to sing K...But did not sing much, because feel a bit weird in the sound system leh. And maybe a bit sian in JJ songs liao le. Haha...Too bad I did not bring other karaoke dvd leh, if not can sing other songs too. Next time ba...But I think sing in KTV is better than singing in chalet ba. Then not long later, jx, quan and ting wanna go swimming. We did not bring any swim wear so cannot go and anyway don't feel like going leh. So we stayed indoor. We wanted to watch the dvds that I brought but then failed. Don't know why leh, maybe is my disc spoilt or the player lousy. Haha...In the end, we went up to room to watch movies on ting's laptop. We slacked inside the room watching 'Just My Luck' and while the rest went swimming in Resort Pool and soaked in the Jazcuzi. Very tired leh, feel like sleeping, don't want to move leh. Just nice when they come back after their swim, we almost watched finished the movie and everyone was hungry liao le.
And we were preparing for our dinner le. Reheated the bee hoon that my mother cooked. We were all seated in the round table to eat together. Haha...Though just a simple bee hoon but I felt warm. Nan de can all gather together to eat leh and the house is all ours. Everyone was so hungry and we had second serving and some third and fourth serving. Quan had homely feeling from home-cooked food. Hmmm, next time get a wife to cook for you everyday lor. ;p After that we cleared and washed the plates and then prepare our next activities.
The sky turned dark so early. Outside is still misty and windy. Hehe, our activities still go on. That day is ba yue shi wu leh. And it is the actual Lantern Festival! We light up some lanterns to play and then took quite a few pictures. We tried to decorate the house by hanging lanterns outside but it was too windy and it blow off the lantern and burnt it. Ashes flies into the room. And I had to clean up. So we decided to hang indoor. Then we went out to play candles and fireworks that we used to play when we were small. Time really flies. It been so long since I played lantern, candles and fireworks leh. Maybe grown up le, a bit pai say to play. Haha...Suddenly the indoor lanterns also burnt. A lot of ashes on the floor, and this time jx and ping turns to clean up. Jx still did not give up and light up lanterns to hang outside the kitchen's window. And he succeeded lighting up and hanging up all the lanterns. And everyone was having fun playing fireworks. A box of 100 sticks was used up so fast. Janice and I thought we can play for 2 nights but who knows so fast finished le. If I know, I should have bought the longest sticks one because I scared cannot play finish so bought shortest stick. Haiz...Too bad lor.
After all the playing fireworks outdoor, we cleaned up the mess of the candles wax and went indoor. Such a nice day of course cannot miss out the mooncakes. The moon was very big, round and bright hanging in the dark sky. Very nice leh. We sat down in living room and while watching tv we also settle down with mooncakes brought by ping and jx. Thanks a lot. Jx brought 4 pieces of normal moon cakes. While ping brought 1 durian snow skin, 2 yam puffy and 1 normal mooncakes. Wow, very filling leh. And don't forget jx who brought different kind of tea packets and brew for us. And not to forget guo dong by jx's mother. It was yummy. Hehe...After clearing up the foods, ping mop the floor and we went to bathe one by one and then played quan's favourite mahjong game.
I partner with Janice to help her play the mahjong. While ting partner with ping to help her play. Quan and jx played alone. Well, actually I am also not a good player too. Haha...Agar Agar lah. Then later change over I playing. Er, did not win either and lose quite a lot, heng not playing real money ah. Haha...Tv was showing 'My Wife is Gangster', I had watched before, quite funny lah. Ting bought chivas along and she and quan were drinking, while jx, ping and me don't feel like drinking so did not join them. Janice super scared of alcohol, a bit also cannot tahan. The final big winner is ting while quan is small winner and jx and me is big loser. :(
We went upstair to our rooms at about 2+am and then dili deli here and there. Janice went to sleep first while ping and me went over to the other room to take photos and chat a bit before we went to sleep at about 3+am. Ting is going out to meet her friend outside our chalet and at first all worry of her but in the end all go to sleep and heard only left quan waiting for her downstair till she is back then fang xin to go sleep together. Haha...We worried but still can go to sleep. While sleeping at about 4+am, I keep hearing people talking in dialect very loudly leh. Keep on talking and making a lot of noises. I thought am I the only one who can hear the noise, don't dare to go to window to peep, I scared it is something 'dirty'. Because early in the morning 4am leh, who will think of bbq and partying. And it is really our 'dear' neighbour leh. Wow liao leh. I could not fall in sleep lor, my mind is kept conscious with all the dialect speaking around. And our room was so near to them lor. It been going on and on till 7+am, my phone rang, it is my mother calling and I woke up to answer the call. She have been unable to contact me because of the poor network. And Janice and ping were half awake liao le. So I asked them isn't that noisy? How could they sleep? Did they hear what I hear? Haha...I could not tahan any longer le, they have been making the noise throughout the morning. And it is the best sleeping time leh and I thought they will stop it in the morning but still 7+am le still the same. Ahhhhhhhhhh.......I went over the curtain and peep outside, so many people downstair and some sitting directly below our room leh, sitting just outside our house door leh. Wow kao leh. And smoking and drinking and talking damn loudly lor. I really wished I woke up at 4am and shout to them to shut up and if they continue, I would throw things down or throw waters or call security or call police. 4AM leh....it is an act of disturbance lor. Call police we also win lor. But I tolerated, I tolerated till morning le until cannot tahan le. Almost going to go crazy by their voices. And they don't seem to be those shan nan xin nuu leh, because for the guys, they are not wearing shirts and have a lot of animals (tattoo) on their body lor. And it is already morning le, what can I do. Janice even funny leh, 7+am le, she then go and asked those people downstair to lower their voices. I said to her, you should have done it earlier, you say at this time, say le also no use because already morning le. And she thought she can sleep a bit longer but still the voices did not lower down.
Last night the neighbour house still empty lor, they check in damn late lor, the house is still empty at mighnight lor. About 2+am, I saw them unloading trolley with lots of things and many beers into their kitchen. But I did not know they would party in 4am lor. In the morning, I saw a lot of empty beer bottles outside their house and a lot of bottles inside their fridge. Wow jiu guai ah. Okay lah, we got no choice lor, have to wake up liao le lor. No point still lying in bed with all the stupid noises around lor. By the way, I slept in the middle between Janice on my left and ping on my right. Super squeeue ah, because ping keep sleep toward me. everyone got so many space beside them yet they all squeeue me. Haiz. Ended up, I could not move or turn much. Washed up and went downstair to slack and watch tv and then about 8+am, jx also woke up le. Haha...Er, heard is that he is woken up by Quan's loud snoring and next door loud noise. So we play dvds lor. We played big 2 and loco while watching JJ China Concert Dvd and then had our breakfast while watching 'The Shaggy Dog'. Haha...And our milk is frozen, trying our best to squeeue some out to eat cornflakes. Heng the mayonise is not frozen and we ate with bread.
Actually wanted to go out to the coast to walk walk after the movie but then the haze was super bad. And it is best to stay indoor. We can smelt the burning as indonesia is very near to us. We can't even see the ships on the sea and cannot even see the line between sky and sea. Then Jx received call from his mother and she said PSI as high as 128 and by evening time is 150. So no choice, cannot go out so we start early to prepare food lor. About 11+am, next door quiet down le and it is our turn to revenge but we are not like them lah. At least we are guang ming zhen da leh. We did nothing wrong also ah. Haha...We played Lee Hom Taiwan Concert DVD and turn the speaker louder. And the 3 of us started preparing our bbq foods. Washing, cutting, wrapping...Jx was busy walking in and out preparing his lunch. Haha... Everyone has woken up except quan & ting still in bed. But not long later, ting woke up and join us downstair.
I heard ting did not sleep until 6+am, and she also could not sleep much with quan's snoring sound too, and also jx's tossing and turning and the next door noise. We had prepared everything le and wanted to watch 'Poseidon' but then think everyone also want to watch and some is still sleeping. And ting decided to go for a swim. So in the end, we did not watch it. We played 'Rumor Has It' starting part super boring, I don't even know what it is talking about, maybe sleepy mood ba. Haha...And ting went for swim and quan still in bed. Jx also went upstairs wanting to catch some sleep. Haha...Poor jx. Watched 1/4, we changed to 'Date Movie'. Watched 1/4, ting came back and went to bathe, after she bathe le, she also sat down and watch the movie with us too. Then not long after, jx came down and said he can't stand quan's snoring sound. And then ting went up to disturb quan. And finally woken up by ting. And everyone sat at the living room continue watching the movie. Haha...We keep laughing though the show is a bit lame but at least nicer and funny than the Rumor Has It ba.
After movie, janice, ping and me went upstair wanted to catch some nap but then just lay in bed resting only because day time like cannot get to sleep and somemore very wasted to sleep. Though we are lazy to go down but I managed to drag them down. And we are deciding if we are to go play bowling or playing board game and finally we decided to play board game which quan brought along 'Shadows over Camelot'. We sat around the round table and started playing. Ting did not played, she drank some alcohol and went upstair to rest. It was quite a nice and interesting game but the percentage of winning the evil is difficult. We are to help one another to win the game as a whole rather than against one another. Good and evil lor. And all because of jx's fault lah, he pick the card the first round and peep it and therefore we had to reshuffle the card and pick it. And I am the 'traitor' for the 2nd time again. Last time I am also 'traitor' but I am underground but this time had to openly go against them as my identity was revealed by ping. It was not fun one leh. I can kill them easily leh. Hehe, I keep withdrawing jx card, until he got no more cards left. Haha...And he can't change cards with other.
We started our bbq earlier this time at about 5pm cause jx and janice going home that night. Jx was busy washing and scrubbing the plates and utensils. While the rest all outside to help quan to start the fire. Haha...This time the fire was very 'wang' leh. And the charcoal we bought was not enough so we order from the resort. We bbq all the food while jx and janice help to get all the cooked food into the house. After bbq all the food le, we finally able to sat down at the round table for our dinner le. Super hungry leh. The table was full of food. The food was very nice leh especially the chicken wings, most of them are well cooked le unlike last time it were raw inside one. And this time the potato and sweet potato were not overburnt. Hehe...Thanks to my tossing and turning and my QC. ;p It was very nice to be able to sit down together to enjoy the food together. And we had managed to clear out almost all the foods except some leftover only. Don't forget we only have 6 person leh, can clear up 7/8 is consider good liao le.
After filling our stomach, we started clearing up and washing the plates. Actually jx was the one who wash dishes but then ended up ping see him wash like that so slow, so ping take over to wash and I help her to dry them in rack. While jx was in kitchen cutting fruits. And the rest was slacking in living room watching tv. We are in the kitchen making a lot of noise, giggling. Haha...After all the cleaning up of the kitchen, we went to living room to rest, watch tv and eating the fruits jx cut and also take photos time. I was wondering why the neighbour had so many buckets inside the kitchen, guess what, they are playing with the water, splashing on people. Then jx and janice went up to pack and prepare to go back at about 10.30pm, while the rest still watching tv, 'Guess Guess Guess X3', very funny lor. Jx's father come and pick them up and drop janice at tampines. Then one by one all go and bathe le. And after that mahjong time again. Quan must be the happiest, we had been going to his house wanting to play mahjong but in the end we played board game and this time we managed to play for 2 days. Haha...
We watched tv while playing. Channel 8 was showing some horror movie. Then after watching that, we watched Korean Horror movie 'The Doll Master'. My position was very bad because my back was facing the tv, I could only hear, cannot see. So sad...But in the end, I won the most I think because the rest could not concentrate in playing because the tv was very excited. All glued their eyes on tv le. I can't leh, very tiring to keep turning behind lor. Haha...We decided to stop the game after the show ended at about 2.15am. We went upstair to transfer the photos from my camera and ting's camera. After that went back to room, lay in bed chatting a bit and then finally cannot tahan fall asleep and with the music still playing in my hp. Finally have a good space to sleep le. Haha...We had a good night sleep through the night. Er, actually I did hear some noise outside but then I thought we are too sleepy le so did not notice it. But then when we woke up in the morning, quan told us he was woken up by the noise and it is 5+am only and our neighbours again making so much noise. And he saw super lots of people outside their house and our house. Haha...So he called the 24hr manager and the manager called the security. No wonder last night so quiet, thought we too sleepy le till cannot hear. Finally he had a taste of what we had the previous night. And somemore we are much nearer to them leh. So can imagine the deep impact on us. Haha...
We woke up at about 9.15am and ping is the latest to wake up. Eaten our breakfast and pack all our things. Then call housekeeping to come. Waited for quite some time for them to come. Haiz. Somemore super hot leh. And soon the housekeeping come and check the house at about 10.30am. We got to pay extra $20 for the electricity and bbq pit. Just nice all our $$ used up le. Oh ya, they did not charge us for the charcoal leh. Haha...We missed our shuttle bus and the next one will come at 11.20am. And we are all too sleepy and tired liao le. We managed to get a cab at the guard house because got cab sent passenger in, so when the cab come out, we flag it. So the 4 of us took the cab back to Quan's house because Quan is the one who wanted to take cab and he lobang us out only. Haha...Then from there, Ting and I share a cab home. While ping took bus 17 home.
I really enjoyed the chalet leh. Though chalet a bit troublesome in preparing but it was very fun and enjoyable leh. And I like to live together with friends leh. The feeling is great. :) The 3D2N seem passes by very fast leh. Wish it could be longer.
